The landscape in Bucovina is of a rare beauty. There are more than 20 natural reservations in this area, as well as an impressive number of churches or monasteries famous for their inner and outer frescoes. Many of these churches have been built between the fifteenth and the seventeenth centuries, during the reigns of Steven the Great and Petru Rares.

Each of these monasteries has a dominating background colour (for example: “Voronet Blue” or “Sucevita Green”). The frescoes represent unique scenes of religion that underline various moments in Romanian and European history (“The conquest of Constantinopoles” at Humor Monastery, “The Judgement Day” at Voronet Monastery or “The ladder of virtues” at Sucevita Monastery).

Not far from Bucsoita, there is the famous Voronet Monastery which was founded by Steven the Great in 1488. Voronet is said to be “The Sixteenth Chapel of the Orient”, due to its great western façade, called “The Judgement Day”. The Voronet blue is considered by many specialists to be unique in the world, and it is just as famous as “Rubens red” or “Veronese green”. The monastery is an important center both for pilgrimage as well as for the preservation of our traditional values, and it is visited by thousands of tourists from all over the world every year.

Still, we should not forget the fact that Bucovina is not only a center of Orthodoxy. In Cacica tourists can visit a beautiful catholic church that was proclaimed a “basilica minor” by Pope John Paul the Second. God has blessed this place twice, as He has also given its inhabitants an impressive salt mountain. A rich salt industry has developed here as well as a salt church that tourists can visit in the mine, all these bringing a great contribution to the economy of Bucovina.

Founded in 1530 by the great nobleman Toader Bubuiog, the Humor Monastery is special because of its great artistic values, and due to the peacefulness it offers the visitors. Although rank was of great importance during the Middle Ages, this church being thus built with traditional roof shingles, and not with towers, Humor Monastery is a place where arts, tradition and the profound belief in God intertwine.

"Saint John" Monastery of Suceava. "Saint George" church inside the monastery is one of the most valuable because it took the constructive and artistic principles of the Stephenian age. The construction started in 1514, and the exterior was painted during the ruling of Petru Rares. The relics of Saint John from Suceava can be found in here.

The Royal Fortress of Suceava. Placed on a rocky hill, on the East side of Suceava, the fortress was erected during the reign of Petru I Musat (1375-1391). During the ruling of Alexander the Good, a protection wall was built in front of the gate and the interior court was paved. As an order from Stephen the Great (1457-1504), the fortress was highly fortified by the building of a precinct wall which surrounded the old fort. Inside the court, there were the rooms of the ruler and his family, of the the ruler's servants, the soldiers, food and ammunition deposits. The fortress is mentioned for the first time in official documents on the 10th of February 1388.

"The Woodcraft Museum" from Campulung Moldovenesc. It presents the traditional wood culture from zona Campulung Moldovenesc. The thechnique and the art of woodworking is related to the functionality of the wood objects for different fields of activiti of the inhabitants in this particular area, like shepperding, textile processing, means of transportation, interior rustic furniture, rustic architecture, etc.

Hidden between the hills nearby the town of Gura Humorului, Cacica is one of the most visited places in Suceava county. The salt-mine has been dug manually under the technical guidance of an Austrian, Paul Hofmann. The giant salt mountain in Cacica can provide enough salt for the entire Europe for the next 400 years!

The main tourist attractions are:
- the old salt mine, where one can see the roman-catholic chapel "Saint Barbara", the salt-lake and the ball-room.
- The roman-catholic sanctuary of Cacica
- The old wooden-church of Humor Monastery, situated in the village of Partestii de Sus.

For those that are eager for adventure and adrenalin, Bucsoita offers them the possibility to rent quads or scooters, or to organize paint-ball matches.
